Meet Dr. Danie
Wellness Coach & Writing Advocate
Danie Marshall is the founder of Well ManifestED and a scholar-practitioner whose work sits at the intersection of wellness, memory, and Black women’s lived experiences. She is an oral historian, memory worker, and storyteller committed to preserving the narratives that shape communities and to cultivating spaces where Black women can return to themselves.
She holds a Master’s in Education (2016) and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies (2023), where her award‑winning dissertation examined the wellness practices of Black women educators. Her research continues to center Black women’s knowledge traditions, spirituality, and the cultural practices that sustain them.
As a mother, researcher, and community servant, Danie supports youth in learning oral history and intergenerational research methods, ensuring that the next generation understands the power of story and lineage. She has presented at more than twenty conferences and has shared her work across four countries.
Danie also leads restorative retreats for Black women, guiding them to rest, write, and remember what it feels like to be well in their bodies. She partners with school districts to facilitate workshops on teacher wellness, bringing research‑based practices into educational spaces that need them most.
Her company, Well ManifestEd, was born from her own journey as a writer — from knowing the desire to write deeply and honestly, to navigating the uncertainty of where to begin or how to finish. Through this work, she offers resources and guidance for educators, academic professionals, prospective students, and anyone seeking support in writing or wellness. As a coach, she is committed to helping others cultivate sustainable writing practices and holistic wellness habits that honor both their goals and their humanity.
She is currently two months away from completing her studies to become a priestess in an African spiritual tradition, deepening her commitment to ancestral wisdom and holistic healing.
